The 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron routed the 19th Communications Squadron with a more than 30-point defeat 73-42, in a one-sided basketball game, Wednesday, March 5, 2013, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.

The game started off strong for the 19th LRS with a three pointer within the first few seconds of the game. The 19th CS had a chance to catch up when Shawn Sullivan, a 19th CS team member, received a free throw after being fouled.

After the free throw attempts, the 19th CS jumped for the rebound only to have it stolen by the 19th LRS who moved the ball back up the court. Not feeling discouraged, the 19th CS managed to steal the ball and head back down the court, scoring their first three-point shot of the game.

The ball moved up and down the court throughout the remainder of the first half. Talents like, Andre Clement, 19th LRS team member, and Parrish Jackson, 19th CS team member, kept the scores increasing with their ability to successfully and constantly make lay ups. But the 19th LRS took the first half by storm, 31-18, giving the 19th CS a pretty large lead to eliminate.

During halftime, the 19th LRS took the opportunity to rest easy, while the 19th CS stayed on their toes, practicing their rebound, jump shots and layups.

At the beginning of the second half of the game, Dayvon Kidd, a 19th CS team member scores a two point layup, giving his team hope that they would slowly break such a huge lead down.

Halfway through the second half of the game, a 19th CS team member attempted to pass the ball to another team member, but the ball ended up in the hands of the 19th LRS who used the opportunity and added another two points to their score, making it 48-22.

The last few minutes of the game the 19th CS hustled hard. They ultimately added 20 points to their score by the end of the game, but the 19th LRS never gave them an opportunity to catch up. The game ended as it was played the entire time- with the 19th LRS ahead. The final score was 73-42. Though the lead was more than 30 points, the 19th CS showed sportsmanship and held no grudges. High fives were shared between the two teams as the game came to a close.
