LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Construction on Arnold Drive will transition into Phase II on Nov. 6 at 12 p.m.
Commonly referred to as the “Back Gate,” the Arnold Gate will be closed to all traffic for necessary improvements to Arnold Drive. The construction project is expected to take approximately 108 days and will be accomplished in four distinct phases. Updated information will be disseminate for each phase of the project. However, please note that Arnold Gate will remain closed for all four phases of construction.
Phase II (Nov. 6-29):
- The transition to Phase II of construction will begin on Nov. 6 at 12 p.m.
- To ENTER Lakeview Housing area, residents will use Ave F West > Flight Line Dr. > Test Cell Rd > California Avenue.
- To EXIT Lakeview Housing area, residents will use California Avenue > Test Cell Rd > Flight Line Dr. > Ave F West.
- Arnold Gate will remain closed.
Help mitigate traffic:
The Harris Road gate, also known as the “School Gate,” will continue to serve as an alternate entrance. Due to the current usage, and your feedback, Harris Road gate will remain open to both inbound and outbound traffic Monday through Friday, 6AM – 6PM, regardless of school schedules for the duration of the construction project. The Harris Road gate is located at 2905 Harris Road, with the nearest major intersection being at General Samuels Road.
UTA Weekend:
The Harris Road Gate will be open Nov. 6-7, 6AM – 6PM, to help mitigate traffic for our mission partners. Please note, traffic will be measured on the weekend to determine future weekend usage of Harris Rd Gate during the construction project.
The Vandenberg Gate, or the “Main Gate,” located at 1500 Vandenberg Blvd, will remain open 24/7.
