Taulman graduated the 145 hour Advanced Designated Marksman course where he learned precision rifle marksmanship, counter-sniper tactics, enhanced observation and reporting skills to support integrated base defense and enable continuous airfield operations. He earned the title of Senior Combatives Instructor after 120 hours of training, and trained five new instructors.
