LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- The Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) donation period officially opened, March 1, and will run through May 14.

The AFAF campaign supports four charities that are dedicated to caring for Airmen and Guardians from accession through retirement and beyond. These charities are the Air Force Enlisted Village, Air Force Aid Society, the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation, and the Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation.

"These charities are an example of Airmen taking care of Airmen — in a 'For Airmen & Guardians, By Airmen & Guardians,' one of a kind campaign," said Col. John Schutte, 19th Airlift Wing and installation commander. "Our annual campaign demonstrates this fact: we take care of our own."

The Little Rock Air Force Base fundraising goal for 2021 is $44,023.
