314th AW: How LRAFB became ‘Home of Herk Nation’

Historical photographs from archived issues of the base newspaper when the 314th Tactical Airlift Wing was the host wing at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. The 314th TAW returned from Taiwan where they supported U.S. military operations in Vietnam to become the host of Little Rock AFB. In 1991, the 314th TAW became the 314th Airlift Wing whose primary mission is building professional, combat-minded C-130 crewmembers. (U.S. Air Force photo illustration by Senior Airman Kristine M.
