Col. Vlahos final flight
The spray of base fire trucks welcome Col. Mark Vlahos, 314th Airlift Wing vice commander, as he taxis in upon the completion of his final flight at Little Rock Air Force Base July 10. The colonel’s next assignment is at Randolph AFB, Texas where he will serve as the 19th Air Force assistant director of operations. The colonel has served as the 314 AW’s vice commander since July 2007. The 314 AW’s mission is to train C-130 aircrews for all services in the Department of Defense, Coast Guard and 34 allied nations, as well as C-21 aircrew through the 45th Airlift Squadron at Keesler AFB, Miss.
