Airman has $10,000 idea
Col. C. K. Hyde, 314th Airlift Wing commander, presents Staff Sgt. William Hoessler, 314th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron communication navigation system craftsman, with a $10,000 check. Sergeant Hoessler submitted his idea through the Innovation Development through Employee Awareness program to replace wheel interphone control system switches. The IDEA program encourages innovative, creative thinking by Department of Defense personnel. Monetary awards are calculated on first year savings and can be as high as $10,000 for each approved idea that results in tangible savings. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Christine Clark)
