Students donate to Haiti relief efforts
Scarlett Gillan, 8, daughter of Aubrey and Tech. Sgt. Michael Gillan, 41st Airlift Squadron, donates items Jan. 21 for the Arnold Drive Elementary School's 'Help The Hurting Campaign,' a Haiti relief project. The campaign, organized by the Sherwood Church of Christ, will deliver donated items to the church's missionaries in Haiti for distribution. Each class was asked to fill a bucket. Each bucket's contents, valued at $35 each, included bowls, spoons, cups and personal hygiene items, such as toothpaste and razors. The school's project wrapped up Jan. 22 with 23 buckets of items collected. (U.S. Air Force photo by Bob Oldham)
