Fire Prevention Week proclamation
Jacksonville Mayor Gary Fletcher and Col. Mike Minihan, 19th Airlift Wing commander, sign the Fire Prevention Week Proclamation Sept. 24, along with other Team Little Rock leaders and members of the local fire departments. National Fire Prevention Week is held each year on the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 that raged Oct. 8 to 10 and killed more than 250 people, left 100,000 homeless, and destroyed more than 17,400 buildings.
