RETREAT MARKS WELCOME HOME VIETNAM VETERANS DAY

Col. George Pierce, 19th Maintenance Group commander, receives a U.S. Flag from an Honor Guard member after a retreat ceremony marking Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day March 30, 2011, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Colonel Pierce is believed to be the last serving active-duty Vietnam War-era Airman serving on the installation. Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day, designated by U.S. Senate Resolution 55, marks the day the last American troops pulled out of Vietnam. More than 58,000 U.S. Troops were killed in Vietnam and more than 300,000 were wounded. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Chris Willis)
