CMSgt Matthew A. Pease is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. He advises commanders and staff on organizing, training and equipping the personnel who operate, maintain and sustain 55 C-130 aircraft, ensuring support for combat, contingency, and humanitarian requirements worldwide. He also advises commanders on the mission effectiveness, professional development, readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare of the wing’s 11,000-member community including the 314th Airlift Wing (Air Education and Training Command), 189th Airlift Wing (Air National Guard), 913th Airlift Group (Air Force Reserve Command), 29th Weapons Squadron (Air Combat Command), and 34th Combat Training Squadron.
Chief Pease is from Fairhaven, Massachusetts where he enlisted in the Air Force in August 1998. He began his career as a security specialist and has served in a variety of assignments to include Phoenix Raven Team Leader, International Military Police Squadron Operations Superintendent, Additional Duty First Sergeant, Security Forces Manager and Senior Enlisted Leader of a combined Expeditionary Operations and Mission Support Squadron. He has served in multiple joint and combined assignments working side-by-side with coalition partners from 11 Nations and three joint services. He has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL.
