Remembering D-Day

Paratroopers from the U.S., France and Germany participate in a D-Day remembrance jump June 5, 2016 at Sainte Mere- Eglise, France. More than 380 service members from Europe and affliated D-Day historical units participated in the 72nd anniversary as part of Joint Task Force D-Day 72. Members of the 314th Airlift Wing were part of the Task Force, based in Sainte Mere-Eglise, which supported events across Normandy, from May 30 - June 6 to commemorate the selfless actions by all the allies on D-Day that continue to resonate 72 years later.
