HISTORY
• The 913th Airlift Group was activated on July 13, 2014 and is part of 22nd Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command. The Group began as 22nd Air Force Detachment One in October 2010.
• The Group entered into a classic association with the 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, on December 1, 2015 as a result of the Air Force Total Force Integration initiative.
• Detachment One maintained an active association with the 50th Airlift Squadron, 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base. The 913th Airlift Group maintained the active association until entering into the current classic association.
• Awarded the 2019 General Doolittle Award. While deployed in 2019, the total force crew led a formation airdrop mission of critical supplies in a highly contested environment, overcoming harsh weather and limited communication equipment. The formation was a mix of two C-130J Super Hercules and four C-17 Globemaster IIIs supporting eight different forward operating bases throughout the combat theatre.

FACILITIES AND PERSONNEL
• The six squadrons and group staff comprise nearly 400 people.
• There are 20 different Officer Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC) and 53 different Enlisted AFSCs within the Group. The Air Force Specialty Code is an alphanumeric code used by the United States Air Force to identify different Air Force jobs.
• Approximately 20 percent of the 913th Airlift Group work force is comprised of full-time personnel. These full-time personnel are either U.S. civil service civilians or Air Reserve Technicians (ARTs). ARTs maintain dual status as a Traditional Reservists (TR) and civil service employees.
• The majority, 80 percent, of the Group’s personnel are TRs. These members are vital to the mission and at a minimum perform duty one weekend each month and two weeks during the year.
• Little Rock Air Force Base encompasses 6,100 acres and includes one runway and one assault landing strip.
• The Group occupies a dedicated Air Force Reserve campus along the flight line.
ECONOMIC IMPACTS
• The majority of 913th Airlift Group members live locally and contribute to the Central Arkansas economy.
• The Group's local economic impact in 2017 was approximately $35 million.
• The estimated annual dollar value of jobs created by the Group was $12 million.
• Little Rock Air Force Base is the 4th largest employer in the state of Arkansas with over 10,000 jobs on-base and 1,800 students trained annually.
• Students come from the Department of Defense, Coast Guard and 47 allied nations, making Little Rock Air Force Base the DoD’s largest international flight training program.
