LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. --
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Nathan Busk, 19th Aircraft
Maintenance Squadron aircraft hydraulics systems journeyman, will be holding an
archery club meeting at 8 a.m. July 14, 2016, at the Walters Community
Support Center on Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., to discuss the future of opening up the archery
range to base personnel.
For almost a year Busk has been working on cleaning up the
range on base.
“I want to provide a safe place where people can enjoy
recreational activities, like archery,” Busk said.
The range was in disarray after not being taken care of after it
closed down.
So far, Busk has cleaned up the range as best he could. He has
done numerous chores to prepare the range for use.
“I’ve managed to clear the weeds, board up the withering
archery stand and set out hay bales for targets.”
The goal of the meeting is to get people to join the archery
range club and contribute to repairing it.
“I’m excited to see the archery range complete so I and
everyone else can enjoy it,” Busk said.
In the future, if all goes well, Busk has plans to get a new
stand and targets to better improve the range.
