"Provide world class Military and Family Readiness Center programs and services for members and families in an effort to build stronger communities, promote self-sufficiency, and foster resiliency; while enhancing mission readiness, retention and adaptation to the Air Force way of life."

About Us

The Military and Family Readiness Center is your one-stop for information and referral and is the cornerstone of the Little Rock family support system. Staffed with a team of professionals with one goal -- to ensure your success!  We offer over 300 workshops a year, 1,500 one-on-one appointment slots and annually sponsor seven base wide events.

We serve Active-Duty military members from all services, Guard and Reserve members, retired military members and Department of Defense civilians. We also serve their family members. All services are free. For more information please call (501) 987-2667.

Volunteerism

The M&FRC is the central point in your community for volunteer issues. The M&FRC coordinates installation volunteer recruitment, training and recognition in collaboration with other base agencies.

Recognition opportunities include: Volunteer of the Quarter, Key Spouse of the Quarter, Volunteer of the Year, Key Spouse of the Year, Volunteer Recognition Week (April), and Volunteer Excellence Award (VEA). To become a volunteer; spouses would complete the Volunteer Interest Form and fax or e-mail it to the M&FRC (details are on the form).

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year, to enlighten the LRAFB Community about Child Abuse, the Violence Prevention/ViPER team, in collaboration with the Family Advocacy Program will be hosting the 2023 Child Abuse Prevention Fair, themed "Stand Up for Children" on Friday, April 7th beginning at 1 p.m. in the Walters Community Support Center.

This fair, which will run from 1-5 p.m.,  will be broken up into two parts with the first part being from 1-2 p.m. You are invited to attend the first part of this event which includes two guest speakers and a panel discussion (made up of Family Advocacy personnel, the School MFLAC, Security Forces and Local Police). Guest speakers are Ms. Ann Prosper from the Women and Children First Center and Senior Airman Chelsea Christopher.

The team is expecting students (5th - 8th grade) from Flight Line Upper Academy and the LRAFB Youth Center in attendance during this first part.  

The second part of the fair will include a Virtual Reality Game Room, Arts & Crafts, Carnival Games, a Bounce House, and Bingo for the children.    After 3:15, additional students from all grades are expected to attend.
