The 373rd Training Squadron Detachment 4 is the only place on base that provides training for seven different Air Force career fields. The 373rd TRS Detachment 4 trains maintenance Airmen who are advanced journeymen, craftsmen or new pipeline students straight from initial technical school at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. The detachment consists of approximately 40 Airmen that are C-130 maintenance experts. The team supports more than 80 active-duty, Guard and Reserve Air Force as well as Marine units. Troops from more than 15 allied nations worldwide also undergo C-130 training at the detachment. The 373rd TRS Detachment 4 trains approximately 1,600 C-130 maintainers a year at Little Rock Air Force Base. Some of the main career fields that the detachment provides training for include: aerospace maintenance, hydraulics, aerospace propulsion and electrical systems. The 373rd TRS Detachment 4 is a vital partner to the 19th, 314th and 189th Airlift Wings, as the three wings are the detachment's primary customers who utilize the world's best-trained C-130 maintainers.
