3D printing hobby helps healthcare workers during COVID-19
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Scott Marshall, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron NCO in charge of mobility readiness spares packages, along with his wife, Angie, recently began creating face shields with a 3D printer. They donate the face shields to healthcare workers at the 19th Medical Group and medical professionals in the local community.

First female pilot of Niger trains at LRAFB
Capt. Ouma Laouali, the first female pilot in the Nigerien air force, recently accomplished the next step in her pilot career April 22, 2020, by completing her training to become a C-130 Hercules pilot in the C-130 Formal Training Unit’s six-month international pilot training program here at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas.

Tiffany Clark, 19th Airlift Wing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response victim advocate, was nominated for a National Organization for Victims Assistance award by Leslie Boone, Victims’ Rights Arkansas member, for her extensive collaboration and motivation to enhance resources available for survivors of sexual assault at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas.

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Austin Brill, 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft hydraulics craftsman, took on the responsibility of bringing about subtle changes in the squadron that not only boosted individual morale for the Airmen on his shift, but brought them together as a unit and enhanced overall camaraderie.

Herk Heritage: C-130 Vietnam rescue linked to 19th AMXS Airman
The Vietnam War neared its end when North Vietnamese forces destroyed nearly 100 aircraft on the flight line at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, Vietnam, on April 29, 1975. Only one flyable aircraft remained: A C-130A Hercules with the tail number 56-0518.
