Staying ready: 19th CES emergency management train Black Knights
Exercising readiness for emergency situations so Airmen can stay prepared and learn their role when it comes to installation attacks or natural disasters is a high priority at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. The 19th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management flight verifies each unit’s accomplishments so the mission can continue safely, and effectively, regardless of the environment.

Standardizing wingmanship: 19th MXS PMEL
Every day, Airmen use different tools for their job. A torque wrench is used on the flight line to fix an aircraft. A tape measure is used to measure the waist of an Airman taking a physical training test. Airmen train with gas masks which prevent the inhalation of harmful nerve, chemical and biological agents.

Airman boosts C-130J expertise via Rolls Royce course
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Christopher Clemons, 19th Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion journeyman, attended a 10-day Rolls Royce training class to further his knowledge of C-130J engines at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. Little Rock AFB Airman wins AMC Spark Tank competition
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Travis Alton, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron parachute rigger, won Air Mobility Command’s first Phoenix Spark Tank competition at the Airlift/Tanker Association Symposium at Grapevine, Texas, Oct. 27, 2018. Against 73 other competitors, Alton won for his development of the M-1 Parachute Release Timing Block Fail-Safe, coined by local leadership as the “Alton Block.”
