34th Combat Training Squadron, Green Flag Little Rock

The 34th Combat Training Squadron executes GREEN FLAG Little Rock (GFLR), Air Mobility
Command’s only joint-accredited flag level exercise. The primary objective of GFLR is to support the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and provide the maximum number of airlift crews, mission planners and ground support elements to a simulated combat environment with emphasis on joint force integration.

The 34th Combat Training Squadron partners with US Army Brigades, Special Operations Forces, USAF Airlift and Contingency Response units, and International Partners for training simulations staged out of Little Rock Air Force Base AR, Alexandria  LA, and
Fort Polk LA. A standard GFLR will train over 200 USAF participants supporting about 5,000 Army soldiers.

GFLR is not driven by a rigid training syllabus, and each exercise is tailored to each unit's requirements while also providing certain MAJCOM specific designated training. The program does, however, focus on three joint-accredited items: combat airlift; survival, evasion, resistance & escape (SERE); and aeromedical evacuation.

No two exercises are the same, which helps the mobility enterprise continually challenge its warfighting skills, while providing real-world experiences with partners they may not be able to get with home-station training. Aircrews participate in training scenarios such as dynamic re-taskings, on-call resupply airdrops, dirt LZ and unimproved air/land operations, search and rescue operations, SERE, fighter escort, combat offload operations, and more.

GFLR is also an opportunity for U.S. forces to collaborate with coalition forces and integrate with several different career fields. While GFLR provides essential tactical-level training, the experience of working with international partners is also vital to the theater.
