May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. For the month of May the LRAFB Asian American & Pacific Islander (AA&PI) Special Observance Committee is holding an Art Exhibition at the Walters Community Center taking place from 24 – 28 May 2021, 0900 – 1700. We are looking for talented artists who would love to present their work for display in the Art Exhibition! The first 30 entries will have a reserved spot for the event. All pieces of work will be in an Asian aesthetic and be in good taste. All pieces will be cleared through EO before they can be confirmed to be displayed. Anything goes for the art work as far as digital art, painting, drawings, sculptures. Etc. This invitation is extended to all LRAFB personnel and their family and friends may also submit their work. There is a Café located inside the Walters Community Center if you get hungry or thirsty and free Wi-Fi. This is a great way to raise awareness and support Asian American & Pacific Islander cultures!
You Made the Grade Program is a great way to encourage your child to strive for academic success. Qualified students can show their report card with a "B" or better average to receive a gift card and be entered to win up to a $2,000 gift card! Homeschooled students can enter as well!
