About Little Rock AFBThe local community purchased 6,103 acres, then donated them to the Air Force in 1952. Construction of the base began in November 1953 and Little Rock Air Force Base opened its gates Oct. 9, 1955. Its missions have been diverse over the years: Bombers, reconnaissance, missiles and cargo have all called Little Rock AFB home.
19th Medical Group
The 19th Medical Group offers Family Practice, Pediatrics and Flight Medicine clinics that will provide the bulk of your care. We also have Women's Health, Physical Therapy, Optometry, Mental Health and a Dental Clinic along with a full array of diagnostic services and prevention programs. Hours of operation: Normal hours of operation for the main and refill pharmacies are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
