Lieutenant Colonel Joe M. Bonner is the Commander, 34th Combat Training Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. Lieutenant Colonel Bonner oversees planning and execution of ten GREEN FLAG – Little Rock joint/multi-national live fire, combat mission rehearsals per year as part of the Joint Staff-accredited air mobility element of the Joint Readiness Training Center exercise program, and maintains qualifications as a C-130J instructor pilot.

Lieutenant Colonel Bonner, a native of Spokane Washington, was commissioned in 2000 at the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. His flying assignments include the 40th Airlift Squadron, 62d Airlift Squadron, 29th Weapons Squadron, and the 61st Airlift Squadron with a staff assignment at Headquarters Air Mobility Command. Lieutenant Colonel Bonner is a December 2006 graduate of the USAF Weapons School. His combat experiences include Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

Lieutenant Colonel Bonner is a senior pilot and USAF Weapons Officer with over 2,900 hours flight time in C-130E/H and C-130J aircraft.
