Little Rock Air Force Base is the home of C-130 Combat Airlift. The 19th Airlift Wing is the host unit which reports to Air Mobility Command. The 314th Airlift Wing, an associate unit, reports to Air Education and Training Command. Another unit, the 29th Weapons Squadron, reports to Air Combat Command. Additionally, the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard is located here. The 189th reports to Air Education and Training Command.  Read the full fact sheet.

C-130 imageThe C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas. The C-130 operates throughout the U.S. Air Force, serving with Air Mobility Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, Air Combat Command, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Pacific Air Forces, Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve Command, fulfilling a wide range of operational missions in both peace and war situations.  Read the full fact sheet.

C-21The C-21 is a twin turbofan engine aircraft used for cargo and passenger airlift. The aircraft is the military version of the Lear Jet 35A business jet. In addition to providing cargo and passenger airlift, the aircraft is capable of transporting one litter or five ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations.  Read the full fact sheet.
