Team Little Rock members attended a food tasting event Oct, 3rd, 2016, hosted by the 19th Force Support Squadron at Hangar 1080 on Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.

The event provided an opportunity for attendees to sample new food items available at dining facilities under the 19th FSS non-appropriated funds operation.

“With the NAF operation, we are able to put more money back into the base and the Airmen, in the way of programing, reconstruction and making facilities better or even adding new facilities,” said U.S. Air Force Maj. Kerri Alexander, 19th Force Support Squadron commander.

Dining facilities pulled out all the stops with decorations and offered a wide variety of new food items for Airmen to try. Attendees chose from a range of multicultural fare to food varying from vegetarian to barbecue options.

“The food was great,” said U.S. Air Force Airman Alexander Rivera, 19th Force Support Squadron personnel apprentice. “There were so many options to choose from, which I think will make it more appealing to a number of people.”

Hangar 1080 is one of four facilities on base offering a revamped food menu under the 19th FSS NAF operation. Additional facilities include, the Deer Run Golf Course, Strike Zone Bowling Alley and the Fitness Center.
