314th AW commander takes final flight at Little Rock AFB

LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. -- Col. Stephen Hodge, 314th Airlift Wing commander, piloted his final C-130J Super Hercules sortie as commander of the wing, June 12. 

Hodge will officially relinquish command during a change of command ceremony on June 16. 

The 314th AW is the nation's tactical airlift "Center of Excellence" and trains C-130 aircrew members from the Department of Defense, Coast Guard and 47 partner nations. 

The wing flies approximately 6,115 hours annually and uses two local drop zones, two local assault landing zones, 10 regional airfields, and 50 flight simulators/training devices to train more than 1,200 students annually, including more than 150 international students in Department of Defense's largest international flying training program.
