The Fitness and Sports Center is revamping their 24/7 access system.

The new system will provide chipped access cards for beneficiaries who do not have Common Access Cards.

Requirements to sign up for around-the-clock Fitness Access are proof of government ID, specifically a Common Access Card, retiree or dependent ID. Pre-registration is already available inside the gym at the main desk.

Once the previous system is disabled, all gym patrons wanting 24/7 access will need to be registered with the Fitness Access system to gain gym access afterhours. Those registered under the previous system will not be able to access the fitness center after April 6, 2017.

The goal of Fitness Access is to better accommodate Airmen and families who may not have access to the gym during regular business hours.

“Some Airmen, like shift workers, don’t have access to the gym during business hours,” said Aaron Leach, 19th Force Support Squadron fitness and sports director. “Without gym access, they can’t be fit to fight.”
