This document is made available to senior military officials, federal, state, and local officials, as well as local business leaders and visitors to the base. 

The installation’s economic impact on the local community is calculated from local area spending based on budgetary expenditures.

For the computation of average pay, the local community includes Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Conway. All information captured herein is current as of Sept. 30, 2016.
The total value of Little Rock AFB’s economic impact is $469.2 million.

In an effort to ensure the safety of the children on LRAFB, effective immediately by order of the installation commander: children ages 13 and under may not operate an electric or gas
powered conveyance (scooter, skateboard, bicycle or similar devices) on LRAFB except under direct parental supervision. Direct supervision is defined as maintaining visual contact and being in a position to intervene.

In accordance with (IAW) AFI 48-144, Drinking Water Surveillance, the Little Rock AFB Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight (BEF) conducts the water surveillance and compliance program for the installation. The base drinking water program is supported by numerous base agencies which include: Civil Engineering-Water/Fuels Maintenance (CEOIU), Civil Engineering-Environmental (CEIE), Public Affairs (PA), Judge Advocate (JA) and the BEF, together, these agencies comprise the Drinking Water Working Group (DWWG). The water surveillance and compliance program consists of 1) Routine compliance sampling to meet federal, state, and Air Force (AF) requirements, 2) Non-routine/response samples required following incidents affecting drinking water quality (i.e. water service line breaks), 3) Cooperation with the Jacksonville Water Board (Water Purveyor) and 4) Direct correspondence with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). The ADH has primacy for the state of Arkansas and regulates all public water systems within the state, IAW the Safe Drinking Water Act.
